Everyone told me the newborn stage would go fast, but what I didn’t realize was just how much my tiny baby would change (almost daily) in those first precious weeks of life.
As a mom of two, I can tell you that the early days of bringing my babies home were altogether beautiful and overwhelming. I felt every moment so deeply and I thought there was no way I would ever forget anything about the newborn phase. In some ways, I was right. I will never forget the instant love I felt for my children, the feelings I had as a new mom trying to get it all right, and this profound responsibility to give my babies the best life I could.
Parenting is constant, in the newborn stage especially, it’s a continuous routine of feeding and changing and attempting to survive on two hour chunks of sleep. It’s long and fleeting all at the same time. I knew I would love having photos of my baby but I had no idea how much those moments would be revisited years later, when this newborn stage faded and I was launched full speed into the next chapter.
After years of capturing engagements, weddings, and families, I’ve found a deep and natural calling in photographing newborns.

I create these images for you as parents, but I’ve also seen the quiet magic of children sitting with an album, tracing their tiny features with their fingers, as you tell them the story of who they were and how deeply they were loved.
