Hi, I’m Christa,
Being a wedding photographer is honestly a dream job! As a little girl I remember shooting on disposable film cameras and having the time of my life. I was just so captivated with people and the world and pausing to frame it just felt so necessary. Years of doing this eventually led me to pursue photography education and learn as much about my craft as possible.
It’s a tremendous honor to be part of my couple’s wedding days - to create a memorable experience for them while capturing their love story! I’m continually seeking out beauty and authenticity. I’m watching out for the loving glances, spontaneous laughter, and the untouched, genuine moments that unfold. This special camaraderie between the couple, as well as, family and guests is my favorite thing about wedding days!
I’m a hopeless romantic and there’s nothing quite like reveling in my couple’s love stories while preserving the memories for years to come!
a little more about me:
I’m still falling in love with my husband of eleven years! We have two beautiful babies.
I was born and raised in Florida, so the summer sunshine and the ocean always bring back memories of home.
When my husband and I have a night out, we love seeing Off-Broadway shows and trying new restaurants in downtown Portland.
I love all things Parisian styled..especially Parisian styled weddings!
Favorite Dress Designer: Claire Pettibone
Dream destination to photograph in: Greece
Favorite moments to capture on a wedding day: Joyful candids, exquisite details, beautiful architecture, and when elegance meets a cultural infused vision! It’s a recipe for ultra dreamy photos.

If you are ready to learn more or schedule a consultation, please fill out my contact form HERE. If you would prefer not to fill out a form, you are welcome to email me directly at hello@christaeansphotography.com
Where are you located?
I’m based in Newberg, Oregon.
Are you available for travel?
Yes, although I primarily shoot in the Pacific Northwest, I’m always inspired when shooting in new places.
I was born and raised in Florida and enjoy traveling to the East Coast whenever I have the opportunity.
How do I confirm my wedding date?
After you have decided on a wedding package, you will receive a contract agreement.
Once I receive your signed contract and the flat fee retainer, your date will be locked in and you’ll be officially booked!
If we choose you as our photographer, can we meet up before the wedding?
Absolutely! As much as possible, I love to meet in person so we can get acquainted. However, if distance or scheduling difficulties prevents this, I’m happy to meet over a video call.
Most often though, I’m able to connect with my couples for their engagement photos and that ends up being a nice unhurried time to meet and get to know one another.
What is the turn around time for photos?
Depending on the amount of photos, your finished gallery will be ready within 8-10 weeks.
How will I receive my photos?
Your images will be in a private online gallery for easy viewing and downloading.
My fiancé and I are not photogenic, will you provide guidance on posing?
First off, I want to tell you that this is a very common and normal feeling. So if this is you, I’m here to say that I will have your back. I’m a very peaceful natured person and always do my best to cultivate a comfortable atmosphere during our time together.
As for posing, I will absolutely guide you through the entire process. The posing I suggest is very natural and often times has movement, making it very easy on clients. It’s less about a certain pose and more about being in the moment and connecting with your partner.
How many photos can I expect from my wedding?
Although, I don’t limit or promise a specific amount of images, I nearly always deliver between 500-800 images for a single day wedding.
Do you allow clients to have RAW files?
I do not deliver RAW files to clients. Editing is an important part of the creative process and I always want to deliver high quality, finished work for my clients to enjoy.
Each gallery is completely curated, edited, high resolution, and print ready.
We are interested in booking but we are planning less than the standard number of hours. Are you flexible with this?
Of course! I have my standard package options and offer custom packages upon request.
The more I know about your wedding day, the more I’m able to craft a package that will be the best option for your day.
How far in advance do you normally book weddings?
Anywhere between 6-18 months before the wedding.
Do you offer albums?
Yes! Certain wedding packages include an album, but you have the option to add on albums to any package.
You will also have an opportunity to purchase albums or prints upon receiving your gallery link after your wedding has been posted.
Do we need a second photographer?
This all depends on what you have planned for your wedding day. Certain factors that determine this are the amount of guests you anticipate, in addition to how spread out different parts of the day will be. There are definitely weddings where I suggest a second photographer to ensure proper coverage for the breadth of the day.
There are other weddings that don’t necessitate having a second photographer - in which I will honestly tell you that. However, having an added person to shoot does allow for a nice variety and obviously allows coverage to be happening in two different areas simultaneously - which could be something that is important to you. Once I have the chance to hear from you about what type of coverage you are looking for I can let you know what I recommend.
